I never thought this would happen to me. I almost said I would never let this happen to me. I thought I was going to be stronger. But it’s true. I’ve become…a paranoid mother!
With winter on its way’s, all I can think about is my little ones health! It’s my first time having to go through this so I am a bit nervous. Luckily these days, there is so much technology out there to help guide new parents. Even experienced parents can use these modern technologies to supplement their own know-how.
The Temp Traq is one such type of modern technology that helps with child rearing. What does it do you may ask? It’s a wearable/wireless patch and app combo that is used to track your child’s temperature. The patch is a modern-day thermometer that is placed under the arm of your child and tracks your childs temperature for up to 24 hours. The temperature is recorded onto the app, where you can see the results and know exactly how your child is doing.
The app’s interface is pretty straightforward. The temperature is quickly displayed, along with the length of time the patch has been monitoring your baby, and a time graph. You can also make your own notes and check temperature history. Any of these results/notes you can send directly to your pediatrician…straight from the app! How awesome is that!?! And if you need to you can buy more patches, visit the Temp Traq website and check out how-to videos directly within the Temp Traq app.
I love that this patch is safe and easy to use. It’s wireless and I don’t have to worry about a loud alarm that might scare my baby. All of the temperature results are sent directly to my phone while my baby boy continues to rest. It doesn’t bother him one bit. But in case your child does have a fever and their body temperature reaches an unsafe level, the patch sends a notification to your device to alert you. But again, without bothering your baby.
I had a great experience with the Temp Traq, and so did Kai. He didn’t attempt to take it off, which I think meant it was pretty comfortable for him. And it didn’t fall off either. We left it on him overnight, and I checked the history in the app when I woke up in the morning.
The app records temperature every couple of minutes. It was really interesting to how his temperature changed throughout the night. Luckily for me, he isn’t sick right now. But I can already see the benefits of using the Temp Traq patch and app when he does actually have a fever.
Who doesn’t love trying out new skin products?!
I’m super excited to show you guys some new products that I’ve been using. They are from Vichy. I had never heard of them before so I was really interested to see the results on my skin.
When it comes to trying out new products, I always feel that you need a minimum of one to two weeks to actually see results or to see how your skin will react to it. Also, you have to be consistent with actually using the product. I made sure to take all these things into account while trying the Vichy products.
So what products did I try out? Here they are:
- Pureté Thermale 3-in-1 One Step Solution
- Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Spa Water
- Aqualia Thermal Mineral Water Gel (hydrating moisturizer for normal to combo skin, perfect for summer)
- Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Rich Cream (hydrating moisturizer for dry to extra dry skin, perfect for winter)
Vichy products have such amazing benefits and I have noticed each one of them improve my skin in just a little over a week. The Vichy products are known to be great for anti-aging, and have also been clinically proven to maximize skin health and strength. Another interesting fact about these products is that they contain pure mineralizing thermal water from French volcanoes. How cool, right?
This is the routine I followed while using Vichy products:
STEP 1: CLEANSE: PURETÉ THERMALE 3-IN-1 ONE STEP SOLUTION: This micellar solution is great for removing my makeup after a long day. It not only strengthens the skin with vitamin B5, but it is also easy on it. I also felt it left my skin nice and moisturized.
STEP 2: PREP: MINERALIZING THERMAL SPA WATER: The mineralizing thermal spa water contains 15 minerals to help strengthen and protect the skin against stress and fatigue. It basically helps your skin by prepping it before you apply any type of moisturizer.
STEP 3: HYDRATE: AQUALIA MINERAL WATER GEL OR RICHE CREAM: Depending on your skin type, you can use either product. I tried out both. These moisturizers left my skin feeling fresh for a long time. Both of the moisturizers have ingredients that help hydrate the skin and help to form a protective layer over it as well.
Now that I am a first time mom, I am going to depend a lot more on products that are reliable and safe for sensitive skin. My initial experience with Vichy has been great so far, and I feel I can really trust these staple French skincare products for the restless nights with baby Kai. The last thing I need to worry about right now is bad skin.
And of course, I love to share products that I love with all of my readers! Here is a discount for you guys.
